The Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission licences gamine events such as raffles. Conducting a gaming event without a licence is a serious criminal offense. A raffle ticket licence is not a bingo, casino, or pull-ticket licence. These types of licences must be applied for directly from the Alberta Liquor and Gaming Commission. Policies governing gaming activities in Alberta help maintain the integrity and security of gaming and maximize the financial return to charities. Licences Eligible charitable groups need a licence to hold each gaming event (casino, raffle, bingo, and pull ticket). The Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC) offers the Gaming Information for Charitable Groups (GAIN) program to help Alberta charities better understand charitable gaming policies. GAIN provides essential information to groups that conduct, or want to conduct, charitable gaming activities like bingos, casinos, pull ticket sales.
In order to provide a casino with equipment or services that are directly related to the playing of a lottery scheme or the operation of a gaming site, you must be registered with the AGCO before you can do business with the gaming site.
